"You can't vote for your choice of candidates in Oklahoma."

So stated Angelia O'Dell, Chair of Oklahomans for Ballot Access Reform (OBAR). Oklahoma State Law is specifically designed by the two major political parties to keep third parties off the ballot and out of the picture," she continued, emphasizing her words with the impatient tap of a pencil on the tabletop.

Jim Taphorn and two other men founded Tantacomm Systems in 1994 with the goal of correcting severe inefficiencies in the call-center industry. By 2008, when the three sold the business to a group of investors, Tantacomm had revolutionized the way dozens of companies performed their operations, employed 12 people, and performed services for corporations as large as TD Ameritrade. The business was run on the principles of good products, good services, and hard, hard work.

Both "The Da Vinci Code" and Dan Brown's third novel, also starring Harvard Symbologist Robert Langdon, have been turned into blockbuster movies. How in the world could Brown possibly hope to top that feat? His answer: "The Lost Symbol." The moment that this much anticipated sequel hit the shelves, everyone knew that it had a lot to live up to. Now, nearly five months later, the book has been out long enough to provide an objective view.

If Emerson is a transparent eyeball,
able to see all things, then I am his
retina, surfeited with input, clogged
with truths and lies. And I lead nowhere:
I am merely a tendril, a ganglion, a
single nerve, connected only to the Eye
and no more. Will I find an outlet
Someday, or will I - like a dream
deferred - explode? No: I will
shrivel and become an empty husk of
a grape, not fit to be pressed for wine or
even to be called a raisin.

I would like to go on a little rant today… For a long time now, beer advertisements have been telling us what beer is, most notably Miller, Budweiser, and Coors. I suppose we are supposed to listen to them and believe everything they say is fact, right? Well, just like any advertising, we should take it for what it is and do our research before believing any of it.
